Questions advisors ask.
Is this accounting software?
No. Arrivals tracks commission you’re owed and helps with your year-end figures. It doesn’t replace your bookkeeping or your accountant.
Does it connect to my host or suppliers?
Not directly. You add bookings by uploading the supplier invoice, typing them in, or importing an Expedia TAAP report. That keeps Arrivals working with any host and any supplier.
Which suppliers does it handle?
Any of them. It reads invoices from suppliers like WestJet Vacations, Air Canada Vacations, Sunwing, Transat, TravelBrands, Goway, Royal Caribbean and Holland America Line, and more are added all the time. It also imports Expedia TAAP reports. If a supplier you use isn’t read yet, email a sample invoice to hello@arrivalshq.com and we’ll add it. Arrivals knows how most suppliers usually pay. For anything else it starts from a cautious 45 days after the client returns. If your terms with a supplier are different, you can set your own for that supplier, and you can set the date on any booking yourself.
I work under two hosts. Does that work?
Yes. You add each host with its commission split, then pick the host on each booking.
How does it handle GST/HST?
Choose your province and Arrivals fills in the GST/HST rate. You only have to register for GST/HST once you earn more than $30,000 in a year, so if you’re not registered, untick it and Arrivals won’t set any tax aside. If you also charge PST or QST, enter your combined rate.
What happens when a booking is cancelled?
Mark it cancelled. It comes off your forecast and the chase list, and any clawback is recorded as an adjustment on that booking’s ledger. If you’d rather it was gone completely, you can delete the booking instead.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, any time, as CSV. It’s your data.
What does it cost?
Standard is $15 a month CAD, or $150 a year (which works out to $12.50 a month), and you can start today. A small group of beta testers use it free, in return for answering a questionnaire each month. Apply to be a beta tester.
Is it available in the US?
Not yet. The tax features are built for Canada. US support is planned, and US advisors can join the waitlist.
Who’s behind it?
Sherry, a working travel advisor in Alberta. She built Arrivals to track her own commissions. Read the story →
